To deliver more warm and dry homes in areas of high demand, Kāinga Ora is replacing older state houses with a greater number of new and modern homes, and partnering with developers and others to build on new land.
Marlborough housing developments
There is a significant housing shortage and demand for housing in the Marlborough region. There is also a shortage of land that can be developed and planning limitations. We are looking to increase the number of homes available in Marlborough by replacing older homes with a greater number of new homes under our redevelopment programme. We are also purchasing completed homes from developers.
Note: the Marlborough area includes, but is not limited to Blenheim Central, Mayfield, Redwoodtown and Riversdale.
