Kāinga Ora has a clear mandate from the Government to deliver more homes to meet the urgent need in our communities. Our engagement work aims to inform communities about the homes being built in their area.
Kāinga Ora Retrofit Programme
Kāinga Ora is making our homes warmer, drier and healthier to help improve the wellbeing of our tenants. Through our Retrofit Programme, we’re upgrading and improving some of our older homes to help provide our tenants great places to call home.
Our approach to building
Kāinga Ora has a range of housing initiatives and programmes underway to boost the supply of new housing for Kiwis. These include housing projects of different sizes and types in New Zealand’s main centres and across the country.
